One Man’s Quest for Beards
July 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Jon Dyer’s passion for facial hair is pretty amazing. In his blog, he researches some of the most famous and funky beard styles and then tries to grow them into reality. He has set his sights on 34 styles and at the time of this article, he has grown 24 of them. That is 23 more beards than I have ever been able to grow.
It is amazing how a beard can change someone’s persona completely. With his different beards he takes on different personalities such as:
- Kip from Napoleon Dynamite (featuring the Pencil)
- a Scottsman (featuring the Hulihee)
There are also many fusion beards which conjure images of beatniks, conquistadors, and old world magicians. Plus, of course, the fumanchu is just siiiiick! His blog can be found here. Let me add that his blog’s slogan is “Softcore Hobography”. Not too sure what that means, but you have been warned.
